Not a boardroom. Not a business plan. Just a father who couldn't find clothes soft enough for his daughter's skin.
When my daughter was born, she had the most sensitive skin I'd ever seen. Every fabric irritated her. Every wash made it worse. The brands that called themselves "organic" still used dyes and finishes that left her uncomfortable. The ones that were truly gentle looked like they were made in someone's garage.
I wanted both. Real organic. Real quality. Real beauty. And when I couldn't find it, I decided to build it.
Lullé started in our living room — testing fabric swatches against our daughter's skin, staying up past midnight researching which dyes are truly safe, flying to meet cotton farmers who could look us in the eye and tell us exactly how their crop was grown.
It took eighteen months before we made a single piece we were willing to put our name on. Not because we're perfectionists (we are), but because we kept asking ourselves one question:
"Would I put this on my daughter?"
That question guides every decision we make. Every fabric, every snap, every stitch, every chemical test. If the answer isn't an immediate yes, we start over.
What started as one parent's frustration is now trusted by over 12,000 families across 42 countries. Every piece is still tested the same way — against the standard of "would I put this on my own child." Our daughter is older now. But the standard hasn't changed.
